Looking for a fun filled family day out? Come to Strathaven Gala Week which begins with a range of activities including the raft race, model boat regatta, magic show and performances by the Strathaven and District Pipe Band, The week culminates in the Gala Parade on Saturday 14th June.

Enjoy the spectacle of the Gala Parade as the whole village turns out to line the streets and support children from local nurseries, schools, and organisations when they join with a cacoffany of floats and vehicles in the parade.

Follow the parade as it snakes through the streets and ends finally in Strathaven's magnificent George Allan Park. Give the kids a treat at the fair, riding on the miniature railway or splashing about in the boating pond. For the less energetic, there is a putting green or game of bowls, or simply a leisurely stroll around the John Hastie Museum to learn more about the history and culture of Strathaven.
