Gala Day

Morning Events
| 10.00am | Judging of Shop Fancy Dress and Windows, Best Kept Garden |
| 10 - 10.30am | Entertainment in the Common Green from the Cadzow Academy performing extracts from “The King and I”. |
| 11.00am | Parade to assemble in Station Road. |
| 10.30 - 11am | Tiree Pipe Band & the Strathaven & District Pipe Band. |
| 11.15am | Entrants of the fancy dress classes will be judged in the Avendale Church Hall. |
| 11.30am | Judging of floats and other entries in the parade. |
| 12noon | The Parade leaves Station Road. The procession will include the Tiree Pipe Band, the East Kilbride Pipe Band, and the Strathaven and District Pipe Band who with all the other floats, other entries and the Royal Party will take the following route. (There is a shortened route for younger children). Station Road, Kirk Street, Ryeland Street, Townhead Street, Green Street, Barn Street, Glasgow Road (to the top of Park Crescent), Reed Street, Glasgow Road, Barn Street, Green Street, Common Green, Lethame Road, and Threestanes Road to the George Allan Park. To help the Parade run as smoothly as possible, please do not park on the route on the morning of the procession. Thank You! |
| 1.15pm | Arrival of the Parade at the Bandstand, George allan Park. Fancy dress entrants assemble at the bandstand. |
| 1.30pm | Arrival of the Queen, her Court and her Guard of Honour. |

Afternoon Events
| Exhibition of Art entries by pupils from local Primary Schools in Barrie Shelter. | |
| 2 - 3pm | Dancing from Heather and Wendy Weir's School of Dancing. |
| 2pm | A programme of races for children of all ages. |
| 3pm | Line dancing demonstration on the Bandstand by the Bunkhouse Line Dancing Club. |
| 3pm | Inter-hostelry and children's tug of war. |
